CFBE: Response to Program Announcement

July 29, 2019 | 原文

Hello Everyone,

With the recent changes announced by Wizards of the Coast regarding the judge program and the launch of Judge Academy, a question some of you may have is “how will this affect MagicFest staffing?”

These changes will have minimal effect on how MagicFest are staffed. We have committed to supporting JudgeApps and will use it as our primary tool for communication and event staffing and we will continue to provide opportunities for staff from all regions worldwide to join us at MagicFests.

We will be working with Judge Academy as a source for identifying, certifying, training and evaluating skilled judges. We will also continue to rely on our own working experience with many of you as a reference for staffing. Nothing in today’s announcement changes our overall staffing philosophy or practice for staffing; we simply have a new resource we can turn to.

More importantly, as those of you who have already joined us at a MagicFest know, we are all part of a large international family. Nothing about today’s announcements does anything to change this amazing community and the friendships and relationships that we have built over the last two decades.

I know there are many more questions and much more to say, and CFB Events will be hosting a Town Hall Q & A on Reddit early next week. We will post the thread on Thursday, August 1st, and we will be answering questions from 9:00 am (9:00) to 1:00 pm (13:00) Pacific on Tuesday, August 6th.
